Acknowledging the Outcome of the Recent Vote

Dear TRAC Members,

After a long and hard battle, it is with utmost regret that we are writing to acknowledge the outcome of the recent vote, where CREW secured the majority. We appreciate the participation of our members in this process, and we accept the decision they have made.

While the result may not align with our initial vision, we understand that it reflects the prevailing sentiment within our student community. We want to express our thanks to everyone who took part in the voting process, contributing to the shaping of the future of our union.

We also want to extend our gratitude to all those who have supported TRAC during its tenure. Your dedication has been invaluable, and we are confident that, despite the changes, our collective commitment to the betterment of our student community will endure.

As we transition into this new phase, we encourage TRAC members who have been loyal to seek active involvement in CREW. The strength and success of any union lie in the active participation of its members, and we believe your continued engagement will contribute positively to CREW's future direction.

We are currently evaluating different ways to keep TRAC active within the Concordia community, stay tuned for more information.

Should you have any questions or if there are specific details that require further discussion, please feel free to reach out.

Thank you, and we look forward to the continued success of TRAC under the leadership of CREW.

In solidarity,

The TRAC Team

TRAC is here for you!

Our TRAC Record:

What TRAC does for you

  • TRAC takes care of all workplace issues members present to us. These include late pay, incorrect tax deductions, overwork, and poor working conditions, among others. If these can’t be resolved quickly and easily our Grievance Officer files a grievance against the university with your consent and guides you through the process. Filing grievances gives us evidence to show that Concordia is not adhering to the collective agreement and puts us in a better negotiating position.

  • TRAC represents your interests; not only at the negotiating table during bargaining years, but also to the university at all times. The TRAC President and/or Vice-President are in constant contact with Concordia’s Human Resources department, along with the Vice-Provost and the Vice-Chancellor.

  • TRAC holds regular General Assemblies so that executives can have regular input from members about union priorities. TRAC also has committees (Bylaw, Bargaining, etc) that let members be more involved. We also hold other events for members such as get-togethers.
