EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
We are the newly elected Executive members of TRAC. We would like to thank members for your trust in us to fight for your workers’ rights! While we are excited to proceed quickly to bargaining for your next collective agreement, members will be asked to vote for their union in the Fall 2023 semester. We ask for your support for TRAC-PSAC!
The Executive Council (EC) is made up of seven elected TRAC members: President, Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer, Grievance Officer, Bargaining Officer, Mobilization Officer and Communications Officer. The EC is given a 12-month mandate by the membership and liberated by the Employer each week to work on behalf of the Union. Their tasks are to defend the interests of the Union, mobilize members, coordinate bargaining negotiations with the Employer, represent TRAC to other unions and Concordia, and advance the rights of all our members. The Executive Council is elected by members at General Assemblies and is bound to the mandates as defined by TRAC By-Laws and of the membership.

The Secretary-Treasurer is responsible for the Union’s finances, accounting, and liberation hours.

BARGAINING OFFICER
The Bargaining Officer coordinates bargaining with the Employer of all work units of the Union and closely works with the Executive to promote the improvement of working conditions.

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
The Communications officer updates members by writing articles, email newsletters, manages the union’s social medias and website, and compiles a database on members.

MOBILIZATION OFFICER
The Mobilization Officer is responsible for leading political campaigns around rights, protections, equity, and the mobilization and coordination of all departmental Delegates.

GRIEVANCE OFFICER
The Grievance Officer supports members who may have work issues or problems with how the Collective Agreement is respected by the Employer.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (INTERIM)
The administrative assistant maintains an office presence to welcome TRAC members/organisers, brings the office up to date, maintaining spreadsheets and documents, bookkeeping etc. They support the executives in their roles.
